This circular walk starts and finishes at the market square in Aldbourne. There are two lovely pubs in the village for refreshments once the walk is complete. We start by visiting the abandoned medieval village of Snap, deserted by its small population of 40-50 people in the 20th century. Then a climb to pick up The Ridgeway path with a stunning viewpoint looking across the Wiltshire and Oxfordshire countryside, the highest point in Wiltshire. Continuing, the walk passes by Liddington Castle.
Approximately 12 miles , or there is an option of a 6 mile walk. There is a considerable amount of ascent in this walk. Well worth the climb!
